2024 Scholars' Trip to Yunnan
In 2020, the Generation Z Investment Club established the "Generation Z Scholarship", which uses 20% of the endowment fund to support students from low-income families in China. Up to now, a total of 3 Chinese students have been sponsored (5000 RMB/year/person), and at the same time, they are also invited to join the club to learn investing and help them change their lives.
In 2024, we followed one of our scholarship recipients, Wang Ying, to visit her hometown in Lijiang, Yunnan. Ninglang Yi Autonomous County, located in the northern part of Yunnan Province, China, is a place full of mystery and natural beauty. The Yi people have lived here for generations, and their culture has become intrinsic to the identity of the land.
2025 Scholars' Trip to Yunnan
She didn’t ask for much. Just a chance to learn, to grow, to meet people who believed in her.
In April, we traveled to a small village in Yunnan—home to Liangjing Xiao, one of our 2024 Next Gen scholarship recipients. Her family welcomed us with warmth. Her father said softly, “You’ve helped her—and helped us. I hope she’ll grow to be as exceptional as you.”
Since 2018, the Generation Z Investment Club has been working toward one mission: to make investor education accessible to every young person, no matter their background. We teach through comics. We give real capital to manage. We fund scholarships not just to relieve financial burden—but to invite students into a community where their potential is seen.
Because when one young woman starts to invest in her future, it doesn’t stop with her. It becomes a spark for generations to come. ❤️
